Sony's released a system software update for PS3 to coincide with the arrival of PS Vita firmware 1.60. This update bumps the firmware to 4.1, bringing with it an improved internet browser.

Significant strides have been made to increase browser performance and accuracy when viewing web pages. Some sites that previously did not render properly are now supported under the new firmware, we're told.

according to ign some people are having issues with network related applications after the update:
As some have reported in IGN's Comments block, the new v4.10 update for PS3 has caused some errors in applications that might use the PS3's web access protocols. Users are mentioning issues with the Netflix app and also DC Universe Online registration. We will follow up with SCE to see if there is a 4.11 patch planned in the near future. Update v4.10 appears to be an optional upgrade, so exercise caution before updating.
