Publisher Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin's Creed 2, the sequel to 2007's hit stealth-action effort. Along with the announcement comes official word in the way of details, plus a concept art styled shot of Ezio, who takes place of Altair as the game's new assassin.

In development for a span of two years, the follow-up sees players taking on the role of a young noble named Ezio. He embarks on a quest for vengeance after being betrayed by powerful rival families that have an iron grip on much of Italy. The scenario is said to offer "more variety in missions, surprising and engaging new gameplay elements, diverse weapons and a profound character progression."[blockquote2]Our creative team is working hard to top the experience of Assassin's Creed,

I hope there's more variety to the missions. AC1 was cool but the missions were so repetitive after a while

the first game was very repetitive, once you knew what you were doing, it was a boring ass walk in the park. Oh, And you can't skip cut scenes...
