Wii U Wii Vitality Sensor Canned for Now

Hey, remember the Wii Vitality Sensor? Of course you do! It's only, like, the sole video game thing people talk about every single day. Announced back in 2009, we never really heard much about the peripheral from Nintendo afterward. It looks like we probably won't hear much about it down the road, either, as experiments within Nintendo HQ failed to deliver successful results with about 10 percent of the testers.

"The Wii Vitality Sensor is an interesting device, and we did various experiments to see what is possible when it was combined with a video game," explained Nintendo President Satoru Iwata during an investors Q&A.

This wont compete with the ever watchful Kinect sensor, so it makes sence to drop an idea like this.
