Just checked on 4chan, they're redirecting to meatspin on videos too. Think I'll steer clear for a while.

Well, I hope they get this cleared pretty soon, we all know how vicious 4chan attacks can get, like when thy put flashing images on the epilepsy help site.

I've never heard of 4chan before, but that's pretty disgusting.

They couldn't have defaced the pages in a more lame manner even if they tried. Totally pathetic... they could have done something interesting. Oh wait, it's 4chan, no they couldn't. =/

I'm surprised at anybody not knowing of 4chan.

Also, while some of the stuff that people who go to /b/ is horrendous, they rarely account for more than 1% of the people who visit. Fact is that most 4chan users are idiots who think that shouting out the latest meme in public is funny.

This was pretty interesting I thought but as someone else said, it was a waste of an exploit if they were planning on something for the 12th of July. That's unless they have another one available but considering how idiotic the users are, I doubt it.

Not quite. 4chan was inspired by a japanese imageboard called 2chan, "2channel (2????? ni channeru?, 2ch for short) is a Japanese Internet forum, thought to be the largest Internet forum in the world.".

The anonymous nature of posting allowed for people to post whatever they wanted which can include images of child pornography. Due to the fast rate which threads die though, it is impractical for people wanting child pornography to try and get some from /b/ on 4chan. The moderators anyway would delete most references to child pornography after it's reported.

4chan's reputation often precedes it and it's not a good one but honestly, the vast majority of its users aren't that bad.

4chan is an English-language imageboard website. Launched on October 1, 2003, its boards are primarily used for the posting of pictures and discussion of manga and anime. Users generally post anonymously and the site has been linked to Internet subcultures and activism, most notably Project Chanology.
4chan users have been responsible for the formation or popularization of Internet memes such as lolcats, Rickrolling, "Chocolate Rain", "Pedobear", and many others. The site's random board is by far its most popular and notorious feature. Known as "/b/", there are very minimal rules on posted content. Gawker.com once claimed in jest that "reading /b/ will melt your brain".[3]
The site's Anonymous community and culture have often provoked media attention. For planners, this enterprise is "further proof that creativity is everywhere and new media is less accessible" to advertisement agencies.[4] Journalists looked at how an Internet destination was hijacked for a prank, so that images of Rick Astley appeared instead of the page that was searched for; the coordination of attacks against other websites and Internet users; and covered the reaction to threats of violence that have been posted on the site. The Guardian once summarised the 4chan community as "lunatic, juvenile... brilliant, ridiculous and alarming."
