for sum strange reason wen i try to upgrade my psp to the new 5.00 M33 CFW my save game files wont work and say they are corrupted wen i try to play them. but wen i downgrade back to 3.90 M33-3 they work perfectly fine.
I think s0nY changed how the savedata works on 5.00. I don't know why though.
That is why there is corruption.
If you want to go to a higher firmware, you can use 4.01 M33-2 as it works with old savedata still. (Be sure to have a Pandora Battery and MagicStick in case the update fails).
aww man...guess then i might as well stick to the evil i know and continue using 3.90 atleast until i finish Phantasy Star Online or they solve tht problem in another update whichever comes first.

I just got back from 5.00 M33-3, its quite nice but I just don't want to miss out the Add-ons and compatibility that is still set for the 3.71 to 3.80 M33 Series.
Well i know from the 3XX kernal the way the psp saves games have changed, so even if werent corrupted when copied and pasted they will be corrupted when he is back on the 5xx kernals.
my advice is to complete all your games, update to 5.00m33 then start buying new games to complete
