5.00 m33-6 no playstation store??

ry64

I'm a winner.
I have a phat with 5.00 m33-6 and I can no longer access the PS Store. Is there gonna be an update to m33 or is there a workaround for this?

version.txt is not used for PSN.
there's no bypass for PSN right now. the reason he can't go on PSN is because sony just cracked and countered the current bypass.

huh, stupid move by sony... now the only way for cfw users to get psn games is to pirate them  (until it gets a bypass again ofc)

Can't people still get them from the PS3 Store? And please, people, don't pirate on the PSP. Just don't.

Not any more. PS3's most recent update requires you to be logged on to the PSN on your PSP as well. Sony is forcing us to pirate PSN content. It's their fault, not ours.

You don't need to pirate games. Just get OFW and buy it legally. It's the homebrew community's fault that piracy is rampant on the PSP, and it's Sony who's trying to stop it. People who buy the games from PSN can spread it around, but if those people are blocked off, the piracy declines. That's probably what their strategy is.

How hard is it for "those people" to get a second psp with OFW on it strictly for accessing the PSN to download and hack it's content? Easy as hell. Their not stopping anyone from pirating. Their increasing it's clients.

I don't think we can now. But I've never played online with my PSP, so I wouldn't relly know.

Games like SOCOM and MPO don't need the PSN to go online, so you can play. Not sure about Resistance, though.

My advice is this: stop pirating and wait until a new bypass comes out. Pirating won't help the PSP at all.

I'm glad they did this, to be honest. It will help games who need PSN to cut cheating, which has ruined previous PSP games.

Did I ever say that I pirated games for the PSP? No, I didn't. Have I pirated games for the PSP? No, I haven't*. But if Sony continuously pushes us into the corner of having no other option but to stay on their OFW, then I will do what I so please.

*PSP. I make no claims about other systems.

I agree, cheating pissed me off back in the days when I played online on my PSP, and made me quit altogether. Good move by Sony, for once.

I never mentioned I was talking to you, did I? It was advice to everyone reading it. And maybe it's a good thing, hacked PSPs always led to piracy in some way.

Shame that Dark-Alex hasn't seen the need to update custom firmware to version 5.50/5.51 yet...hopefully this will convince him to get around to it now.

Doubtfull.
For me it looks like DAX continued his way, not packing the PSP into his bag and leaving it behind.

I just d/l'ed a game from the PSN store BTW :p
But that might be 'cause my Slim is on 5.51 OFW  So, noone is forcing me to pirate, here.... most stupid excuse I ever heared...

most stupid excuse I ever heared...

Excuse? It's not an excuse. I don't feel that I have to justify myself for my illegal action. Why do I pirate games? Because I feel like it. But I think if something costs $5-$10 and I don't have to get out of my bed to get it, I may as well buy it, since it'll save me time from going through 8-20 dl links which waste my time. I'm paying for convenience, that's it. But if I can't pay for that convenience in the way I want, I'll just pirate it. Why? Because I feel like it.

Hmm... Sony Media GO is still working for my 5.00 M33-6 PSP with a 5.51 version.txt

Use that instead until something comes along.

Thanks for the info. Will do.

sony IS forcing homebrew-users and pirates to pirate more now.
everyone with a TA-088v3 or 3k is now forced to make a choice:
pirate games & homebrew or no homebrew but access to PSN.

this will probably drive some people to piracy who previously only used HEN to get some homebrew running.
