5.03 GEN A for HEN version.txt

does anyone know whether you can change version.txt found in flash0:\vsh\etc?
there is an option in recovery to change the version.txt but it does not say how, any ideas?
i can access flash0 via usb, but thats as far as i can go.
Im trying to get my psp 3000 to play the monster hunter freedom demo which requires firmware 5.50.
if there is any other methods, please let us know.

version.txt is now officially changed to firmware5.50 , but now i get an error (80010013), something to do with the region.....hmmmm
any ideas how to fix this?
so close....
i have read people have gotten past this error with demos from the psn store by disabling game plugins, but i have none....

found the version.txt for multiple versions.

How pathetic. You are talking with yourself. Hahahaha. Okay talk with me. If you are in Gen, I cannot help you. But if you are in CFEnabler, go to XMB then click the CFEloader. Then go to config. change the version.txt, it should be look like this. version.txt -> enabled. Then go to change version. Change your version to 5.51 (available only in CFEnabler 3.30). That's it. One thing, don't forget to add some reputations. Hehehe.
