Advanced config in Gen-A on PSP 3000

Does anyone know if i can change my settings in advanced configuration in my recovery menu. i am trying to find out if i can change- execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO from disabled to enabled. will this touch my flash if i change it. i have a psp 3000 running 5.03 GEN-A. all answers or suggestions will be very much appreciated.

I rebooted with that setting on in a 3k and it was fine. So maybe but it doesn't result in a brick
