Archived achievements

Sorry if that has been answered elsewhere already.

Steam introduced the feature of archiving achievements. Basically, the achievement still exist for people who unlocked it before the archival, but it does not appear for new players and does not count toward the 100%. For example on team fortress 2 the 4 achievements related to youtube videos are now archived.

How will exophase deal with those? I don't think these achievements should count toward completion. They could be regrouped in an "archived" section that doesn't count toward the completion.

The Seasonal and Archive achievements on Steam sound like a mess honestly. I can see games loading up on 'Seasonal achievements' to keep people coming back and grinding forever. I think the issue with not counting certain achievements presents the issue of prior games not updating with this achievement set feature as it seems to be required for the game developer to implement it into their games. Their are countless Steam games with unobtainable achievements that are no longer supported and I can't see older games getting this support if the game developer needs to implement it.

I think this will be one of the cases where half will like the 'solution' and the other half won't like the 'solution'. I understand everyone wants the 'perfect' profile with everything completed and at 100%, but that's just not how it works with achievement hunting. Discontinued, unobtainable, broken achievements are just part of the hunt unfortunately.
