It's been two years since a couple of former Rare staffers announced that they were working on a spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series. In what can only be considered disappointing news, it turns out that the project's been scrapped. Insert a long, audible "aw" right here.
As indicated by PCGMedia, composer Grant Kirkhope, who worked on the Banjo series, Donkey Kong 64, and Star Fox Adventures to name a few revealed the news in a Reddit Ask Me Anything thread.
"The other guys actually had a secret meeting in a pub near Rare, and we even got as far as having a character drawn up and a demo level type thing, but it all fell to bits," wrote Kirkhope.
