Suda51 and developer Grasshopper Manufacture's latest over-the-top romp, Lollipop Chainsaw, launched last week for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to wide critical acclaim. The game was praised for its solid hack-and-slash gameplay, colorful "pop zombie" art style, and enjoyable narrative. Last year, however, Grasshopper's big summer title was Shadows of the Damned, a joint project between Suda51, Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, and Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka — a true supergroup of talented developers.
