MMOs are starting to become quite popular. What started as more of a niche for hardcore gamers is increasingly gaining mainstream appeal. A new article over at Information Week has revealed that Bioware is set to launch their new MMO in 2009. And its going to compete with Blizzard's beast, as quoted from the article:
[blockquote2]BioWare has not announced the name or described the nature of its online game, but Dalton said it will be launched in 2009. Dalton said his firm wants to do more than match the state of the art represented by such online games as World of Warcraft. He expects the complex event processing built into his firm's game to allow richer role playing and interactions between players.[/blockquote2]
Looking at Bioware's past titles, you can bet it will be an MMO in the Sci-Fi sense. What the title is could be anyone's guess. Ah well, 2009, we'll probably hear about it come next year.
