Speaking in a live interview with Swedish site Press2Play, Blizzard producer Chris Sigaty dropped word that the highly-anticipated beta for RTS title StarCraft II is not far off from release.
According to Sigaty, the beta is "very, very close" to being finalized and is no longer quarters away at this point, presumably meaning we can start to expect invites going out within the next couple months. In other words, it's right around the corner, so make sure your registration is all set.
Sigaty further mentioned that the current plan is to ship the title later this year. However, in de-facto Blizzard fashion, he was quick to warn that it could slip into next year if the company does not feel it is ready and needs more polishing work.
