Multi Call of Duty: Black Ops

If you don't want to rely on team-mates......then play FFA. That's why I play that mode more than anything else.

In my experience in FFA it's been a campfest. I'm a Run'n'Gun type of player so campers just take me out.

Harcore S&D is the easiest way to level up I think. It's all I've played in the first prestige and I'm at 42 already in a minimal amount of hours played. I got 34k after one match yesterday when I got a two challenges like S&D MVP IV or something.
Yes!
Me and my friends started playing Hardcore S&D and I love it again. Definitely rank up fast.

Same! I hate FFA...

I'm also a run 'n gun player and yes, ffa may be considered a campfest but I think FFA makes you a better overall player by making you more aware of the surroundings since no wing-man. Having to check all corners of the room when/before entering. Having your sights up when going around corners. Always checking your ass for ninja's....etc...etc.

Yeah, and checking corners and going around corners aimed down sight is not how I play currently or intend to play in the future :P
I run, and scope and shoot when I see people.

Hardcore S&D will get you to corner scope more often than FFA in my experience. You can just run around and rape campers in FFA, not so much in S&D though.

I love Flak Jacket, you're pretty much immune to explosives. Tubers have to be pretty much dead accurate to kill a Flak Jacket player.

Haven't run into tubers. I've experienced less then 5 tubers in all my time playing this game.

^^ like it except for the white square...may look better if just the symbol is showing....may need to be a diff color to stand out on camo then.

it has been my experience that is all HC is...camp in a corner, kill, move to another corner, camp, kill, move, camp, kill, move....rinse & repeat. And also easier at getting kills since you have a better chance @ spray & pray kills.

Well the objective is to either camp and protect or search and destroy.
Camp in corner, kill, move, repeat - That can be applied to every game mode in this game as that is what campers do and campers are in every game mode

For the record, speaking as a "camper" (on some occassions) that it's the only viable defense in objective games...you're defending a point of interest and there's no better way to do that than wait for the enemy to approach. I often run-and-gun though in CTF and getting around campers is simple; use smokes, flashbangs and decoy grenades. I also use a motion sensor frequently when I'm going to approach an enemy objective and try to pin-point their positions from my sensor - it's pretty effective.

In TDM though I often stick to one area of the map; sometimes the middle or a side of the map in which I know there will be heavy enemy foot traffic; it doesn't take long for me to run into an unsuspecting enemy. Of course then they will try to flank me and...well...it's easy to kill them off if you have a motion sensor. The motion sensor really just encourages more camping sadly...

However...some campers are just downright assholes. Mainly the ones that sit in one corner watching a single doorway with no knowledge of enemy presence; just sitting in a remote part of the map ready to pick off any lone wanderer. It's really hard to pick someone off who's crouching behind a box (only head being shown) and back towards his own team's camp.

That's another problem with this game; the maps and the spawn points related to objective-based games (don't even get me talking about CTF on Nuketown). Half the time I find my team being spawn killed by the enemy and the game will only move our spawn (far away from our objective) after they get plenty of kills on us. Usually though it's against a team that knows what they are doing while my team just aimlessly charges, without aid, to the enemy's flag in which they get instantly killed by defenders.

Rant done...for now.

I never get the point of just laying on the floor by a doorway, just aiming at it and waiting for someone to walk by.
Isn't that boring?

I personally cannot sit in one spot the entire length of the match. Don't see how people pay money for the game just to do that.

I myself get impatient after about 2 minutes of waiting with no one coming (usually defending when that happens). At that point I just run..but then of course they come. I only "camp" in high-traffic areas though when playing TDM

I generally own 25:5 in HC with my stealth class. The generic TDM players have no chance against me at all. I only lose on clan servers. On all other modes I just charge straight for first blood and rapid kills/assists and end up with a poor 1.2 KDR. Most players are rendered completely useless without the radar. I track using only surround sound.

Let's see how many of you think this is vaguely impressive:

By the way - I just don't piss around going for clips. I like to win. My win loss is 2.35 at the moment and I'm currently on a 36 win streak :P

so many lucky tomahawk kills...the crossbow on the sniper in crisis (second clip shown I think?) was pretty good

Yah... I tend to run around with tomahawk on. Last I checked, I had 20 kills with it after 841 thrown :P

From my experience the Tomahawk and crossbow have more auto-aim than any other gun. Once I shot a crossbow bolt to the right of a guy running away and it ended up sticking to him. They just seem to have a way of finding people. I keep forgetting that we now have a theater mode...I've had some great runs/kills and just forget about them after the match ends (mainly because I play with friends who insist on looking at them later)
