While the beta for social gaming hub Call of Duty Elite has been underway for some time on Xbox 360, now those on the other side of the console spectrum can see what all the hubbub is about. A staged rollout, Activision has announced that the first wave of invites officially went out today for PS3 owners, with more to come.
Notably, the beta "tests select features and functionality, including stat tracking, the use of custom player groups, competitive events and video sharing. Moreover, Activision is promising a "major upgrade of additional features" to Elite come November 8, the day Modern Warfare 3 launches.
