PS3 Campaign in The Last of Us Will Not Feature Co-Op

Naughty Dog has confirmed that The Last of Us will feature a multiplayer component. That said, while co-op in general hasn't been entirely ruled out, the studio has made it clear that there will not be any co-op functionality in the game's main campaign. Speaking with Gaming Examiner, Creative Director Neil Druckmann said, "We are supporting multiplayer with The Last of Us.

Quite honestly, they could dump what ever multiplayer plans they have in place and just give me main story co-op and I'd be happy. Rarely does competitive multiplayer hold my interest more than a few weeks after launch.
