So, 5.03 GEN-B is coming roughly in a week. I was thinking about uninstalling CFWe and getting GEN-A as I wait. I told a friend on MSN about my plan, asking him if he was going to do the same, since he also has a TA-88v3.
He told me that he tried that, uninstalling CFE and installing GEN. It ended up f'ck'd up badly, and he told me that it's not worth the hassle.

Is that true? Do you think it's worth waiting for a CFE 3.70 instead?

Just use CFWE 3.50 it has an uninstall option which you can use to uninstall CFWE. It is not a hassle at all, just take a minute and you're done, lol
 
I just installed GEN over it atnd then used CFWe to load the environment (it's easier as it automatically loads unlike GEN) so basically CFWe with the files from GEN. Hybrid CFGen ftw
 
CFWe files were from GEN. So basically, CFWe was BS =/

I had installed 5.03 GEN-A first, then I installed CFWe 3.50 over it and then upgraded to CFWe 3.60. After this, rather than both being able to launch both, when I would launch CFWe it would show up as 5.03 MHU, where as on CFWe 3.50 if I recollect correctly it said 5.03 m33.

Anyway, point is, with both installed, when I launch the gen option, it instead load 5.03 MHU, at least per the system info. Eventually it started to concern me, so before I bricked my useable 3k ((I have a 4.20 OFW Ratchet pack just waiting in case I or someone else [Hellcat, I'm looking in your direction...] figures out how to use the exploits that are alive in 4.20 to get the firmware off of it as I have yet to see a 4.20 dump)) I decided to use the uninstall option in CFWe 3.50 and uninstalled the whole kitten caboodle. Now I keep CFWe 3.50 around just so I can uninstall either of them and keep only one installed at once.

Now, while my 5.03 OFW useable (just call it black, ratchet 4.20 is silver) has had both installed at once; my question to some of you who understand the flash0 aspects better than I is this: Is having both 5.03 GEN-A and CFWe 3.60 harmful? Should I stick to one at a time? Did I get lucky in the fact that I didn't brick? Or can both be safely installed at a time more than just the time I did it and the guy above who is doing it?

Yes. Stick on one at a time. You might not get lucky anymore and something might go wrong ;)
So be careful in using 5.03 GEN-A and CFWe.

Btw, I also bricked my silver 3k :)
