ChickHEN on Phat = Frustrating :argh:

I'm having trouble getting ChickHEN to load on my friend's Phat PSP. I have it working on a 3k and ave not loaded it on a phat before. I formated a memstick using the phat, used the easy Chickhen installer for PSP phat which i found on Lampworkers thread (i'm lazy)and it put the files on the psp. I then disconnected the psp and spent the best part of 3 hours trying to load it. Repeatedly. I tried it with UMD and without. Its really pissed me off:mad:. Is there anything i should know about running chickhen on phat or any tips or ways it works better with on first loading?
 
did you use the tiff file that was meant for phat because there is one for slim and one for phat depending on what psp you have.
 
And be sure to reset the psp to default state. A BG can prevent successful running of the hack.

But the phat is harder to get then the 3000 it seems.
 
I don't get it running on Fat PSP. I tried almost 200 times - it doesn't work. I tried the phat.tiff, the slim.tiff and poc.tiff - it doesn't work, unfortunately.((
 
I've downgraded a 1000 using ChickHEN. It worked the first time I tried to run it and maybe 3 tries to get it to run the second time before downgrading.

What I did was as soon as you turn on the PSP and it loads the XMB, go straight to Photo and try to execute HEN.
 
Try to set the settings as follows:
Language-English
Character-US
UMD AutoStart-OFF
UMD Cache-OFF

Also try to put in a few photos with the tiff, it will help a little to initiate the HEN on the phat. This is what I did on my phat PSP and I was successful, it may or may not work for you, but it is worth a try. Good luck!!
 
I wish I could help but I haven't tried ChickHEN with phats..

But from what I've seen, restoring to default settings really helps.
 
Thanks guys but i gave it to my friend and told him what to do. He got it up and running after 587 tries and 158 settings resets over 4 days. he finally got it on the bus to school and from there, i used hellcat's recovery flasher to flash 5.00M33 on to it. I lent my pandora battery to a friend so i couldn't use it. Thanks for all your help though
