Clock Speed / Frame Rate Increases...

I need to find a way to increase these for the simple fact that the SNES emulator I have can go HORRIBLY slow... Makes it impossible to play some of the games...

Currently running on 3.71 M33-2 and using snes9x and I just want to find a way to increase the FPS on it.

What games are you trying to run? Secondly, are you using the version I linked to in your previous thread?

Not all games will run full speed, but increasing the frameskip should help.

Right now trying to run... Chrono Trigger, Super Mario AllStars + World, Lufia 1 and Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrels, Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past...

Yes but how do I increase my frame skip/clock speed???

Press Home to enter the emulator menu, there's a option to toggle frameskip under Video.

Took of Frame Skip and now its running at 60-90 over 60-90 constant (tested on Chrono Trigger..) What is the ideal FPS?

60 FPS is ideal. I use 1 frameskip for Chrono Trigger personally.

Alright currently the game is running like a dream the only problem I've had is the audio pops every now and then, but I think the guy said that would happen?

yeah that happens sometimes.

Oh and by the way thank you SO much for your help after my friend showed me this site and told me the things I could do with a PSP I was amazed, so I got one today. Of course I had to do the Pandoras Battery to get it to the right firmware. But it was well worth it.

Would it help to make a thread for SNESTYL that has sugessted frameskips etc. for games?

It's somewhat of a good idea, but not THAT great, due to the fact that it's more of an opinion/preference than a concrete good number.

That would actually be a good idea and it would probably help out a lot of people to get at least a starting idea of what it would need to be at to play it right.
