TBH a new thread might be more appropriate. Updating the OP with news like this puts all subsequent posts out of context.
 
apparantly it works on the 3k the same way it works on the 2k. the preipl has not been hacked, cfw runs off the ram and is erased on a cold reboot. fakes have been posted in pspgen forums before but never on the official news page. also MaGiXieN is apparantly credible unlike that mathieu guy. also in the video YouTube - 5 03GEN-A for HEN you can see on the pspident that it is a 3k. but who knows maybe it is fake. i guess well find out in a few hours...

'Damage' it? You can't be that serious....

Features such as POPS support, ability to run ISO/CSOs have always been enabled in custom firmware. I don't think its going to make that much of a difference in the long run if one more PSP model is able to play them. It's not like PSPgen just invented some new crazy feature...

Seriously... If piracy is killing Sony, its half their problem too. They should have made a PSP without a UMD drive a long, long time ago...

Also, if they would just enable a feature similar to SecondOS for the PS3, there would be less of chance hackers would want to hack it....

My point is, 'we' are kind of killing the PSP scene too, but it's not all our issue. And for the hundreds of Pirates that will use this for illegal purposes, well, great for them. But at least those few people who use it for legit game backups finally get what they deserve.

I cant access IRC first of all lol...So I cant stay update on most things the Devs or Others are doing.

Kerza you seriously need to stop with the flamming.A MOD is going to ban you sonner or later for it if you continue.

He isn't flaming, you're being incomprehensive. Now I suggest this is getting dropped and being put back on topic. This isn't a discussion about piracy.
 
he's just worried for you guys since there's no way to fix your broken 3k when something messed up that is not planed to happed. it's like you 3k owners are going to be guine pigs for testing.
