Custom firmware from business thing

I live in South Africa and I have a slim psp and I would like to install cfw.
I have once had a phat with cfw but I had got it second hand with cfw already installed.
Here we have many small business's that offer gaming services like console chips and firmware downloads.
Would it be a good idea to get cfw from any of these places, I got my Xbox 360 chipped from one place and I may aswell just get it from there.
And I have checked the psp's motherboard and firmware and it's absolutely fine to download cfw on it.

Use your Battery and MMS to convert your slim to CFW - as you have a CFW psp already it is very simple.

No need to pay anyone.
