Donkey Kong made his Wii debut today with the reveal of Donkey Kong Country Returns. Today is the year of classic revivals and Nintendo left no major series forgotten. Nintendo had a great press conference today with a lot of new titles being revealed, all of which look like promising titles and may just make me look for my Wii which I have no idea where it is.

I actually retrieved mine from my parents house today, so that I could play with it in the first time in god knows how long. Their conference definitely blew me away, and I'm so excited to give this game a go. Let us know how it is on the show floor Frozen ;)

Tomorrows my last day there so I'll have to get a lot of stuff in. The Nintendo Wii titles weren't on my priority list at first but since that's where I'll be in the morning I might as well check them out. The problem is the lines for playing them are ridicously long and people really just play for however long they want (I had one guy play Medal of Honor for nearly two full multiplayer matches).

I saw a few people playing DKR when I took a peek today and it looks pretty good, nothing too revolutionary for the series, just the good ol' basics from what I saw

Ah, well if you get the chance that is. I can imagine how action packed and hectic your day will be. The basics is all I want for a game like this, little things like that please me.

I want a Wii so bad right now.

Me too. This E3 has brought a new DK and Kirby... two games that I have been wishing they'd revive for a long time. It's a shame the Kirby game looks a bit lacking. However, this new DK looks kick ass.

Like everyone else in this thread, I'll be dusting my Wii off after the summer, Donkey Kong Country has always held a nice place in my memories of childhood gaming, so it'll be nice to play a new DKC game.

x3sphere and I got our hands on it today. I never fully played any of the previous DK games but was pretty impressed by this Wii version. It's definitely fun with two people playing cooperatively and Diddy even has a small jetpack to use that, when on Donkey Kong's back can help him hover a bit after his jump. I tried getting some video of this and Metroid Other M but the Nintendo people weren't very happy with cameras taking video
