downgrade/custom Firmware help needed please

i have a fat psp with FW ver 5.50 , i want to know if its possible to downgrade to a lower version so i can install CFW. is it possible without a pandora battery or a friend with a psp? is there anyway i can just do it on my own without anything but my pc and psp? please help...i'm kinda new to this....

not at all, the only way for you is through pandora battery.
