DVD and all around media player

Hi

I need to get a new dvd player. I need it to support a usb hard drive that can connect with it and have playback of avi, mkv, mp4 and vob in 720p. I don't really need it to play music but that's a bonus. Preferably a blu-ray player as well.
Any suggestions?

Thanks but i have a ps3. If only it could play mkv and support over 4gb files.
 
its a slim from release day so linux is a no go

eBay an original PS3, even a 20gb will do for this
Go to Komplett, Dabs or something, buy a 500gb hard drive

Seriously. The PS3 fits all of those criteria, just get Linux on it.
