Digital EA Waives Distribution Costs for Kickstarter Funded Projects on Origin

With Kickstarter becoming especially popular in the gaming sector, it's no surprise that gaming behemoth EA wants a piece of the action. To that end, the company is waiving any distribution costs on Origin for titles that have been successfully crowd-funded. Any costs associated with distribution will be completely free for 90 days.

Currently, Origin boasts a userbase of 12 million gamers worldwide.

0_o did I just read that EA is going to publish Wasteland 2? Please tell me you meant "publish to Origin" and not "Publish" in the general sense.
 
Yeah, publish to Origin through this deal. It's still coming to Steam and there's a DRM free version planned too I believe.

I was thinking something along those lines before I wrote that. But I didn't want to sound overly cynical/negative like I usually do when I think of EA
