hi peeps!

ok i am having a little trouble with coverting the icon image on an EBOOT, have looked around and cant really see any other threads which have answered the problem, if they have and i missed it im sorry!!

basically i have ripped my game, made an EBOOT and then used simplepop to convert the icon, if the icon is the golf one the game loads and plays okish, the game is spyro by the way, but as soon as i change the icon the game says data is corrupt and wont play, i have also tried to change the icon on another game i ripped, need for speed, and its does exactly the same thing!! i have tried to convert the eboot while it is on the memory card, and also tried to convert it while on my desktop and it is always the same, runs ok but when i try to change icon its corrupt!

i have a one million percent original MS, it came from a sony shop, so am at a loss!!

any ideas guys?!

thanks

A superior program for superior games.

Honestly if you're interested in customizing your PSone game EBOOTs I'd recommend trying PSX2PSP in Theme Mode.
It shows you what your EBOOT will look like right on the spot and I've never had the least bit of trouble with it...

I would suggest another program for converting your PSX to EBOOT- try PSX2PSP, you do all of it before it converts, you can pick your pics, sounds, and everything, it's all good.

It's Cheeze endorsed!:thumbup1:

Here's a good place for pics- HERE
I know it's blasphemic to link to other forums, but it's where I get all my pics and stuff for my PSX games...

EDIT: Sorry for crampin' your style, Krelian, I was writin' whilst you posted, my bad.

thanks guys for your quick response!! guess working nights over here helps with getting quick answers from over there!! lol

will give it a go and see what happens!

No worries.

Not a problem Cheezeball, better to answer a question then assume someone else will!
You can also check out the PopStation ImagePacks website for icons and backgrounds and the PSXPSP Manuals forum for the DOCUMENT.DAT manuals that can accompany your game.

Wow, that's pretty cool, Krelian, didn't know 'bout that imagepack site, but I'll be usin' it now! (don't really need the manuals, I usually just convert walkthroughs for the manuals:smile:)

thanks guys, used psx2psp and has worked a treat!!

thanks for the links to the sites too....
much appreciated!!
