Holy crap, I didn't realize that stuff was illegal over in the UK, wow. So would PSP OE FW be illegal, as well?

Nah, OE FW isn't illegal, just PSP chips such as the UP and PSP Devolution.
 
Damn is it illegal in Ireland too and if its illegal in the UK then is mrmodchips.co.uk illegal too?
