Europe Bids Farewell To 60GB PS3

SCEE has confirmed in a statement released on the official PlayStation UK website that once stock of the 60GB PlayStation 3 model is exhausted, the 40GB will be the last remaining PS3 model in European territories.

So the PS3 has finally gone from multiple SKUs to a single standard model in Europe... question is, will SCEA and SCEJ follow suit?
 
Hopefully not or there will be outrage from all gamers that own a ps2 all want to get a ps3 expecting compatability and there isn't any.
