European/Custom Firmware and Japanese PSP

Hello.

Can I install a European firmware or a Custom firmware (3.10 OE-A) on a Japanese PSP (I just bought a blue jap PSP) ?

The forum on yourpsp.com says I can't but I'm not sure of their statement.

If not recommended, what could happen in case of a european firmware in a JAP or US PSP.

If not a problem, what are the difference between these firmwares ?


I'm quite anxious I made a wrong choice buying a JAP PSP.

all region updates are the same, and by that I mean there is no differences whatsoever between a US and JPN eboot. just different features will show up based on what region getpscode returns from the idstorage (you can fake this with OE to enable features from another region).

I got mine from EBAY. and it is from HONGKONG.
a 1.5 mettalic blue psp, and i have upgraded it
to a 3.03oe-c, thanks to x3sphere's help.
