Exclusivity Expired - GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City Hitting PS3, PC

This is fucking great news. I had no idea it was a "timed" exclusive, I assumed it was a permanent deal Microsoft struck up with Rockstar games... Definitely looking forward to purchasing this

My situation is a little tricky - I'm off at school with the PS3 whereas my brother is at my parents place with a 360. I almost bought Episodes from Liberty City for 360 just so I could play it while I'm home from school, but I wouldn't be able to readily play it very often. Knowing it's coming out for PS3 now, looks like I'll sit tight and wait it out

This is great news. I disliked GTA4, so when they announced that shorter, but more fun GTA Games were coming out, only on XBox, I RAGED! I played Gay Tony, and it rocked, so I'm going to get this for sure.

Nice. I've always thought that exclusivity just shafts consumers - you make a choice on a platform (PS3/XBox 360) and people get paid off not to release things on other platforms (despite the fact it'd mean more sales), and you end up worse off for YOUR own personal choice.

DLC exclusivity is even lamer. "Hey, you can have the game - thanks for purchasing it - but because people gave us money we're not going to give you anything more, or the chance to provide us with any more money.".

I hope more studio's develop for both platforms without having exclusives.

I respectfully disagree with the first paragraph. But I wholeheartedly agree with the second.

On the subject of the liberty city episodes. I'm not sure if I care about them. They were the whole reason I bought the 360 version over the ps3 version, but I ended up not buying them because GTA 4 didn't leave me wanting more liberty city.
