What? Max Payne again? max payne one was awesome. Loved it. Max payne 2 was good but I never got round to finishing it (the damn numerous loading screens killed it for me, though I thought the game was awesome). Now Max Payne 3. Can't wait :)

BTW what happened at the end of Max Payne 2?
 
this game will suck even if its good. WHERE THE HELL IS MAX PAYNE??! where is the noir feeling??! where is new york???! where is the cold winter???! where is the darkness???!

if they had just renamed it to something els i would have thought it looked okay, but damn... dont throw dirt on the Max Payne name...! Max Payne 2 is one of the best games ever made for christ sake...

but aahaa... its not made by Remedy. that explains why it looks like shit. :)

Good on Rockstar for trying something new. Atmospherically, it may not be the same old Max Payne that we're used to but from the sounds of things the core gameplay will be the same.

And anyways, Remedy is working on Alan Wake which looks to have that gritty and dark atmosphere.
 
I agree with madsoul. They should have just made this a new IP instead of Max Payne. Especially after the movie, Max Payne is iconized as a new yorker with the black leather jacket and black hair.

If those screens are of Max Payne, he lost his iconic hair and grew a beard, he now wears a wife beater, he gained some weight, and he is in what I presume India. They completely ruined him.

The people who loved the original Max Payne atmosphere and feeling and don't approve of Rockstar raping the franchise like this.

I agree with madsoul, they should've just made it a new series instead of riding on Remedy's back.

very excited over this game! i really got involved with the characters and story of max payne 1+2 and loved playing the game. happy they decided to make a 3rd, can't wait for the release.
 
People are afraid of change because they never know what might come...

I'm willing to give this Max a try even if I LOVED the old games. Like Joey said, it still might be good. Let's sit tight and wait. Also it was about time for Rockstar to start making different games.
