hi, could someone tell me why i can get some iso's to work fine and others that just get as far as the title screen then freeze my psp and then switch it off, some of these games work fine on other psp's so its not the files, i'm running the latest version of dark alex's firmware 3.40 OE if thats any help

have you tried going into recovery mode (hold R while turning on PSP) and disabling NO-UMD?
 
Hi, thanks for the replies, ive tied both your sugestions and still not getting them to work, i get a little further now but still no game, after i select the game from the memory card the screen goes black and then i get a error message on screen saying the game could not be started. (80020321) any ideas would be great.

you have a UMD in the drive right? (not movie UMD, must be demo or game UMD)

if you can.. try them with a different memory stick, and if that's a no go I'm betting the ISO files are corrupt.
 
no i'm not using a UMD at all, didnt realise i needed one, still a little green around the gills with the psp, will give that a try and see how i go.

i can get some games to work but still having trouble with a few, perhaps they just corrupt, oh well at least i know about having a UMD in there and the other options, thanks for the help

do like what was sudgested to you in the config of you cant get in to the configureation go to the post i posted with your same issue and a ADMIN had put a flash program in the forum on how to flash your FLASH1 folder on your console that will fix your issue
