Freezes when turning on the PSP

This issue is all new to me, im using a PSP 1000 with CFW 5.50 GEN-B2 it froze so i turned it off, when turning it back on it freezes on the XMB, i downgraded the firmware to 1.50 it works then i upgraded to 5.50 froze on the xmb. So i thought its just a bad reflash, so i went to recovery and was able to use all the buttons formatted flash1 then upon restarting froze on the language selction menu. Now i tried playing it downgraded to 1.50 all is ok, upgraded to 3.52 M33 ok buttons are working but after loading 4.71 freezes upon turning it on. I tried downgrading and upgrading to all cfw firmware and every time it turn it on freezes on the xmb. Now i decided to install all OFW firmware upto 6.00 and i can access the xmb without any problem.

Steps i have done
Upgrade downgrade to cfw 1.50 upto 3.52 = all is working
Upgraded to 4.71 = Froze on the xmb
Updated to 6.00 = buttons are working
Used xgen v2 = froze on the xmb
-copied a nand backup from a different psp - same thing freezes on the XMB
-used the pandora and xgen on a different psp = all working after installing cfw

So to cut things short when i install CFW 4.71 or higher it freezes on the xmb but if i access the recovery with the said firmware i can used the buttons without any problems. All buttons work if i install OFW.

Please help. Thanks.

well, first thing is that you should never ever use a nand from a different psp.

i would make a new idstorage with dc8 and run key cleaner

that was my last resort which is using a nand from a different psp. and i am unable to use key cleaner a when i instantly upgraded to 4.71 M33 and above upon turning the psp on it will just freeze after showing the Sony logo but the icon will constantly blink. And yup have done new id storage using DC8 and nada. But if i use OFW upto 6.00 after the sony logo i will be able to access the different options on the psp,

hmm, okay, maybe your mms is corrupt, i would say make a new mms, run keycleaner and try again, if that dont work, i have no idea whats up.

Could be a long shot but a corrupt plugin could be the source. a corrupt remotejoy plugin stopped my psp booting fully. you could try disabling all plugins. and yeah using another psp's nand dump was a bad idea.
