Gameboot semi brick fix for psp300

ok so here was my problem, i flashed my psp3ks gameboot, and it was a bad game boot. and what ended up happening was the psp started but when i would try to go into my umd or homebrew it would freeze at the game boot. then start my psp up all over agin. so i read and found there is a way to skip the gameboot. you do this by;

1. going to the app or game
2. befor you press x to start the game hold the screen bright button to turn off the screen.
3. press the x button while the screen is off.
4. after 2 mississippi turn on the screen by pressing the brighting button agin.

so this worked for me hope it helps some of you out. i just loaded the flash app so i could change the Gameboot.

Now that you mention it, this actually was a method to fix it, found back when 2.71 was around IIRC. I completely forgot about it till now. Thanks for the reminding

wow, this is so fucking GREAT!!! Thanks a lot mate.. Ahehehe.. So can I try now to flash gameboot on my PSP? "coz I don't have to worry anymore, If I bricked my PSP, I can use this method. But If I failed to flash gameboot on my PSP 3k, can I still try to flash gameboot on my PSP?..

oooops, before I try flashing gamboot, can anyone confirm that this method really work? I'm just afraid.. Ahehehe...

i could not tell you man to tell you the truth i want the opening as well. and i am asking around to see what it is when you use the sony gameboot flasher on the software that is used on the 3k

No its just for gameboots as they have been proven to work and also they just change the 'playstation and flash of colours' thing when you stsrt a UMD or homebrew

for something i can only see for 5 secs i would not bother flashing a gameboot and risk it XD
