Sounds good and all, but I'm still not confident with playing that game with no physical controls.

Same here, can't see it working too well without physical buttons. THPS2 was fine but it didn't use shoulder buttons a lot unlike GTA3. Have it on PC and used to have it on PS2 anyways.
