I hope “an added graphical punch.” means 3D although I highly doubt it. I love GTA, but I just have no desire for the 2D versions anymore
 
3D would be great, but it's not going to happen. The only reason they're doing the port is to make more money.

You could argue the only reason they made it on the DS was for money. :p But yeah, I see what you mean. They aren't gonna 'try as hard' as all they want is the money.
 
Seriously, I doubt they would only "port" the DS version completely.

1. It would piss people like me off for being offered an inferior game on a superior handheld in terms of hardware.
2. I could play 2.5D games just like it on my iPod touch if I really wanted to.
3. The older GTAs on PSP were fully 3D and had graphics compared to the PS2.

So I really don't see how RockStar can screw all PSP owners over with an inferior port that is barely 3D.

Plus, has RockStar ever let us down on a PSP game before?
