Guide: Importing RPCS3 trophies

1200.webp

If you have earned trophies on the RPCS3 PS3 emulator and would like to import them to the site, below are instructions for doing so. Do note that none of the imported trophies are counted towards site stats and will not be factored into the leaderboards for ranking. This is mainly meant for your own personal tracking purposes or if you simply want to show off your activity to others.

How to import

1. Make sure your PSN account on the site is verified, this is a requirement since the process will make changes to your profile data on the site. Navigate to your Account page -> Social (https://www.exophase.com/account/#social) to check verification status. If you do not have PS4/PS5 hardware linked to your account, Sony may prevent you from entering in the About Me code we provide - see here for a workaround.

2. Navigate to the folder where trophies are stored on your PC. Using the main RPCS3 directory as a starting point, this should be "dev_hdd0/home/00000001/trophy". Attached is a screenshot of what the structure should look like.

3. Inside the folder should be a list of directories with an NPWR prefix (ie. NPWR00727_00). Each folder corresponds to a PS3 gameyou have played on RPCS3. Create a ZIP file containing all of these directories. You can also opt to only zip up specific directories, if you do not wish to import all games.

4. On the Exophase site, navigate to your Account page -> Tools (https://www.exophase.com/account/#tools) and under the Trophy Upload section attach the zip file that was created in Step #2.

4. Once the upload completes, this should import all your RPCS3 activity and you will receive a notice at the top right indicating a successful upload.

A few other notes

1. Do not make any changes to the directory structure/files. Not only will this probably prevent RPCS3 from reading the data, the import looks for specific game IDs and the naming must match exactly.

2. Games imported through this method will not count towards site stats or EXP. If you would like to remove imported games, you can do so from your profile page by hovering over the game -> Edit icon -> Delete.

3. If you are having issues with the verification process, particularly with entering in the About Me code we provide - see this post for a workaround. We've found this affects users that do not have PS4 or PS5 hardware linked to their PSN account.

I've never bought such a profitable and interesting subscription to a service. x3sphere you're a legend! Thank you!

Just found out about this, this is why its the best achievement tracker site, still for the future I hope RPCS3 will get support on retroachievements or implement their own account system for automatic sync/mp/etc.

Thanks for implementing this incredible feature. One question, I've noticed even though I've earned all trophies in a game on RCPS3, after uploading it to the site, it doesn't mark the game as complete.

Is this expected for games tracked in this way? Is this perhaps because these games don't count as tracked?

It's a known bug. Someone else mentioned it on Discord also. I will push out a fix soon, should be ready sometime next week.

Edit: Fix has been pushed live now.

Do I need to have a PS4 or a PS5 to be able to verify my account on PSN? I have to change my "about me" section in PSN to verify the account, but it does not seem to be possible on the website and on the app.

It works I just did it. You need to go to playstation.com and login to your profile. Click on your Profile Icon and pick Account Management. On the left of that page you will see Account (with Your Information then Security)... ignore than and just look under PlayStation Network and then the first options says Profile. Go there and add in teh code you're asked for under About me. That's it.

Hi!
It is not possible to change the "about me" information through the PSN website.
It says that to change this option you need to log in to your PS4 or PS5. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hello friends again.

I found a way to create and verify a PSN account without owning a PS4 or PS5 console. The secret is to link your PSN account to another account from a different store (I did it with Steam).

Step-by-step:
- Create a PSN account.
- Then download a game on Steam that allows you to link your PSN account to Steam (I suggest Rogue Company, which is free), but it can be done with any game that requires or allows PSN login (example: Helldivers II, Ghost of Tsushima, etc.).
- Enter the game and log in to your PSN account, or go to the game's website and link it to your PSN account.
- After that, you can log into your PSN account and change the "About Me" section in your profile and enter the code provided by Exophase.

PS: Don't forget to set your account to public, go to Privacy Settings under the PlayStation Network subsection on this page, then under Gaming | Media make sure Activities and Gaming History is set to Public

This is good advice thanks for sharing. I’ll pin it to the top of the thread so more are aware of this workaround.

You're welcome, friend. Just to clarify, I managed to do it by logging into the game Ghost of Tsushima on Steam, which is an authentic PlayStation studio game. I don't know if it will work with other games that aren't from the PlayStation studio; it's just a suggestion. 🤝
