:blushing:Hi guys! I post this thread due to unusual thing going with my friend's phat PSP. ok here it is:

As I turn on the power the screen loading appear but the controllers (R,L, Up, down, Left, right) even the analog and the square, O, X, triangle buttons are not working also the select and start. But I have noticed that when I press the Home button It mute and unmute and the only working buttons are volume.

here are the specs:
Phat PSP with I think version 5.00m 33 due to when I plug the USB cable it auto connect.

The weird stuff is when I go to the recovery menu all the controllers are working.. It seems when I turn the power on normally it then controllers are out. Please help. Are there anyone experience the same thing that I do.. How do you resolve it. I haven't open the psp yet. Please shed some light in here.....:crying:

I also format the memory stick even replacing it with other memory stick and disable all the VSH, themes, flush the Flash settings. Still doesn't work.

If the controls are working in recovery that kinda rules out hardware, when recovery mode is started it is before the FW is loaded, so this suggests that the fault lies in the FW.

What were you doing prior to this problem occuring?

I cant change the CFW due to keypads are not working when normal boot.. I can't even flush it normal cause the hellcats must be run normal boot. Also I dont have pandora's battery. Is there anyway I can flush the CFW.

Thanks January39

If by flush you mean reflashing then your going to need a pandora although if you can access recovery mode you can run hellcats from there (i think, gottta check on that).

My advice would be to re-flash the FW and determine if the problem is still present.
