Hello,
I've been trying to do this for 2 days now and it just won't work.
Well first of all, I couldn't get ChickHEN R2 to run at ALL !! It just freezes and shutsdown the PSP every time. Then I tried this one. It finally worked and I got my PSP into ChickHEN firmware mode.
BUT, when I followed this guide. I open the INSTALLER-LOADER, press R/L it says "flashing firwmare... Success" and then I press O to boot in Custom Firmware, the PSP just gives a black/blank screen and shuts down.. ???
I am on firmware 5.03, PSP-3004.
Any help?

Alright I think the problem was the MemoryStick. It's working now.
I advise you NOT to use a fake one (most likely a 4/8GB one.)
