Help Regarding PSP 3000

I have a psp 3004, OFW 4.21
Is there any possible way of downgrading my psp so that i can play my backup ISO on them.
I have lost my UMD's and now only have my backups left
 
The PSP-3000 cannot run a full CFW, as Alex e says is the best there is at the moment which is actually pretty good and as close to CFW you can get.

BTW Thread moved to a more suitable forum.
 
If i update my psp to ver. 5.03, use the HEN and install CFE,then will i be able to play my backup iso's ???

Can i use umd dumper (USBSSS v0.1) using this CFE ?

If I want to reconvert my psp to OFE 4.21 later,will i be able to do it ?
 
for the OFW, i THINK you will be able to downgrade to OFW only.

PLEASE DONT DO THIS AS IM NOT 100% SURE

for UMDdumper, you can run all homebrew through the HEN
 
I do not believe it is possible to d/g any psp-3000 or ta-088v3 to OFW or CFW, it is done that way to prevent people hacking their psp's, hence the security update patches applied.

Once your up, your up.

i came through a video where it showed how to convert ver 5.03 to 5.03 chickhenR2.There was no mention of GEN in it.But it said iso &cso games cannot be played on it.

IS THIS TRUE

chickHEN R2 cannot play iso/cso games. Only GEN and CFE can

but using ChickHen you can run CFE and then you can use your own legit back-ups!.,:wink:

DRag and drop into the required follow the read me, it simulates a M33 FW by adding the required files to flash0, it does not delete any files simply adds additional ones.

The CFE is held in the RAM so until you cold off your psp, it will remain loaded.
 
It is often told that we should not touch the flash0 file of our psp if we have loaded CFE 5.03 GEN-A(Full).......
What does this mean?How can we touch the flash0 file?


I am asking this so that even accidently i dont touch the flash0 file......

I would like to know this as well. From what I can tell, it;s only if you delete or change files already in flash0, which some programs do....but simply adding new ones is fine, which other programs do.

Is there a list anywhere of programs that are and aren't safe to use on the PSP-3000?

you don't need for the list of safe and not safe programs that can access the flash!!., because whether it is just adding files on flash, it could also react some unpredictable things like showing BSOD on the screen, half brick or brick your PSP..
 
I am just asking that it often mentioned that gen can give the psp a irrepairable brick. So i am a bit scared as my psp is very dear to me..
 
really? I've never heard or experienced that before.
