help with psp slim cfw 3.71m33 to cfw 4.01m33

hello there i,m new at this
I currently have cfw 3.71 m33 on my psp slim.
I would like to update to the 4.01 m33 but I have no
idea how to go about doing this. Do I need to update to 3.80 m33, then to
3.90 m33, then to 4.01 m33? Or can I go from 3.71 m33 straight to 4.01 m33?

Here is a detailed step by step guide for installing the newly released 4.01 M33. Please note that you must be running 3.52 M33-3, or higher to begin this installation. Do note that if you're already running 3.80 M33 and have a WiFi connection, you can simply update to 3.90 M33 by selecting Network Update from the PSP XMB.

since u have 3.71 M33 i think that u should be ok

Go into recovery make sure network update is set to da(m33/dark alex) server,then exit and run network update from xmb, thats all you have to do my man! Now I do believe 3.71 had this option if not it was implemented in 3.80m33

Now if you have to update manually update, go to dark-alex.org and get the files. Or you could always come to #exo on irc.malloc.us with any irc client and Im sure you'll find help. If im there hit me up.
