Http error on Wii Shop update

Hello, I've seen on this site that you should do an update for the Wii Shop... I've downloaded the recommend package for HBC settings and tried it, but it gives me a http error and a bunch of quick codes or something, and closes.
How can I fix this, or is it okay to just keep it un-updated?

That's the link I was looking at and that I got the files from... but I still get that http error :/

You don't need to update unless you actually need to use the Wii Shop Channel. Regardless, a HTTP error signals something on Nintendo's end. The app contacts the Nintendo update servers for the required files, they may be undergoing server maintenance or have modified the codes needed for the files. Your best bet is to wait it out.
