Hulu - Plus

We've just received word that the premium Hulu service we've heard chatter about for a while now has just become official. Dubbed Hulu Plus, the $10 / month service will feature entire seasons of shows that are available in limited quantities on the free service, as well as other programming not available via Hulu on the web. There will be iPod and iPad apps available (streaming with WiFi or 3G), along with support for Samsung connected TVs and Blu-ray (via Samsung Apps). Also in the works is support for TVs and Blu-ray players from both Vizio and Sony (fall 2010), PS3 (July) , and Xbox 360 (as part of a "custom experience" in Xbox Live Gold, early 2011). Hit up the source link to get in on the "invitation only" preview of the service, and to keep abreast of availability for your favorite hardware. Video after the break.

If they gave you access to all of the previous seasons of their shows it might be worth it. But you can get a Netflix account with streaming for cheaper and have access to all past seasons of their shows PLUS have all kinds of movies and other stuff.

Not worth it.

There doing all the season on over 33 shows, like 30 Rock, The Office,Law & Order: SVU and a crap ton of others.

Netflix cost me about $9.53 a month so I dont really see it as being cheaper..

Also am I the only one who uses netflix just for streaming? I not giveing up netflix for Hulu but when fall hits around I be useing Hulu way more than netflix.

I never use Hulu or Netflix. I download everything I want to watch. It's great for some people, but for me it's not a practical service that I see myself using.

Doesn't that take longer than necessary? than again hulu doesn't get everything right away, so you're probably getting it faster.

For my weekly TV shows it's much, much faster to download it yourself the night they finish airing. Most shows are uploaded online after an hour of airing on TV. With a good connection though, like I currently have, I can download a single episode of a show within 3-4 minutes and have full control over it and take it with me wherever I go.

I have my torrent client set to auto download shows, grabs 720p rips right after they air, sometimes before. 5 minutes worth of download time per ep usually. I also have my computer hooked up the TV so playback is instant, so no need to convert etc. It's very convenient.

Wow I envy you.

Anyways, yeah I am happy with my netflix subscription. This doesn't interest me.
