well guys, i'm gonna be frank. i am sick and tired of waiting for homebrew for the psp 2000 slim (ta-088v3mobo)

as such i will be creating a tutorial on replacing your psp slim (2000) with another motherboard.

the motherboard i am receiving in a few days is a TA-85(original 2000 mobo)

i will try to update with pictures and details about disassembly and reassembly!

check back soon! i will try to update as soon as possible and keep it as up to date as possible!

edit:sorry for the mix up guys! i meant the original slim motherboard!

If you're doing all that, why don't you just get another PSP? You'll have to do extensive case editing and replace the UMD drive while you're at it.

well i beleave it has been done...not exactly that. but a 3000 with a slim board
link

so it is theoreticly possible...but it may not work. but you could just use the HEN thats out. but if your that desperate to run ISO/CSO/PSX games you could just make a trade with a friend or somthing. but i wouldn't recamend doing that.

but i am a strong believer in "i do what i do because i can and you cant" haha. so have at it if you like. :D

Mobos (MOther BOards) are different from CPUs..

..... but a 3000 with a slim CPU
It is still a PSP3000 Mobo BUT with a PSP2000 CPU :)

Slim mobos won't fit on a PSP3000 casing afaik
and vice versa :)

It was on topic. But I don't se how speaking in general has any changing in the difference between motherboards and CPUs.

The thing is the TS haven't said a single word about PSP3000.
Some people might think that i had just switched the entire Mobo (which can easily be accomplished) rather than the CPU alone ;)

Generally speaking AGAIN ,PSP3000 Mobo won't fit on a PSP2000 casings
(TA-090V1 not included..hehehe)

btw
Pardon from my outburst
Its just when the TS was mentioning about swapping Mobos (which is my assistant's job..too easy for me) and then my "work" (swapping CPUs.... a heck of a task i may say) has been mentioned.. it just got in my nerves.....NEVER compare a "Child's work" to a "Man's job"! hehehe
And sorry I don't have IRC ;)

. . .
