Ive bin browsing the forums for some time but today i finaly got angry cause i couldnt find the answers i needed, so i joined just to ask it.

1. How in gods name do i boot in safe mode? I have phat psp and FW 3.93 (latest offical one) I hold down the "R" button when i turn on the PSP but no safe mode. I tried like all combos possible but no luck.

2. What do i realy need to emulate games? Is it a must to have like a custom firmware and if so wich one should i use? Its like so many and all are like 3.40 m33 and 3.12 m232984230872 I dont get it. What should i do to be able to use homebrew software and emulate games?

Recovery mode (or as you call it, safe mode) is not available in official firmware so that explains why you can't access it.

Any custom firmware will do for emulating games. You're on official firmware though so the only way to get there is by using a Pandora battery and magic memory stick.

Yhea but i dont have another PSP nor do i know one so i cant realy make it :/
Well i can always bust a battery opend and make it a Pandora but mhee dont think so and is till need a memeorycard to :(
