"I watched this film today and I recommend/don't recommend it."

Juse rewatched 28 weeks later again. While I agree the opening scene is absolutely brilliant (<3 In The House In A Heartbeat) I don't think the overall product is superior to 28 days later.
 
Kick-Ass. It oozes awesome. It's incredibly violent, funny and above all, fun to watch.
Best film of 2010 so far, and if there wasn't so much more awesome due out this year, it would easily be a candidate for best film of the year.

I would not take that bet. I was thinking more in terms of entertainment, rather than Awards. Awards go to films about racism and war, not to balls-to-the-wall action or comedy (both of which this film excels at)
 
The most noteworthy film I've seen recently is Serenity. For those who don't know, it's a space western film that is a continuation of the cancelled Fox show Firefly. I have totally fallen in love with this series, the fact that it was cancelled after only 14 episodes is such a shame.

Anyway, Serenity did a great job in staying close to the TV show it was, yet still being able to hold it's own as a full feature film. If anyone is thinking about watching this, I really suggest watching Firefly first, it definitely won't feel the same if you don't.

Agreed, I can see the internet going ape shit crazy if this show was brought back! Firefly and Serenity are both on netflix so go check them out!
 
Clash of the Titans was fantastically dissapointing. I saw the 2D version, figuring that the 3D wouldn't make it any better as it was never supposed to be 3D. The film itself seemed to end abrubtly, and it wasn't as action packed as one would have liked. Overall it was a poor attempt at mining some money out of a well established but out of date classic.
 
 
I watched Capitalism: A love story yesterday (Not in the theatre. I just downloaded a screening of it)

It was really good. Even if the stigma behind Micheal Moore's name makes you not want to see it, I'd still recommend checking it out. It's a really eye opening documentary on greed, money, capitalism, and the potentially inevitable road to socialism (which by the way is not such a horrible thing, certain values of socialism I most definitely agree with). No matter who you are, there's a lot to relate to in this film
 
Run Fatboy Run: Above average comedy, with Simon Pegg excelling at being the deadbeat Dad who overcomes the odds. Recommend at least one viewing if you're into feel good comedies

Full Metal Jacket: The greatest War film of all time. Kubrick captures the breaking and twisting of men into killing machines, and then onto the battlefields of Vietnam. Utter twisted brilliance.

I agree, I watched it a few days ago and thought it was a great eye opener.
 
Right... So just saw Kick-Ass...

eeh...

Read the original comic first and thought it would have been pretty impossible for it to get filmed. It was not that bad but i hated the pretty big plot change at the end. Like, why couldnt they go the way of the original comic did? Would that have been too sad and horrific? Nah, this didnt do it for me. A little too goofy and heartwarming compare to the comic. Even if it did include blood and shit.

Not that the comic was amazing either really, but atleast it had a little more better plot overall.
