"I watched this film today and I recommend/don't recommend it."

Just saw Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Both where great. I normally dont like pure comedies really but these has to be one of the best I have seen in a while. Really proffesionally done and funny.

Also, I know one of the zombies in Shaun of the Dead heh. The armless guy with the flowers they kill at the begining in Shauns livingroom. Funny thing is that he is armless for real. Lost it in a car acident. :D

Just got home after a lengthy cookout at the inlaws since noon. Turned on the TV and the village scene of Platoon was just starting. That's is such a heavy scene.

I can't decide if Platoon or Apocalypse Now is my favorite Nam movie.

Apocolypse Now all the way.

The Wolfman...

it was okay, fell asleep towards the end but I tend to nap whenever i lay on my couch so I cant blame the movie too much.

A good amount of blood and guts which really gave it the exact push it needed for me to like it. Worth a look if you like people dying and decent acting.

Was it really decent? I haven't heard anything good about it from the handful of people I know that saw it.

Prince of Persia.
I didn't like the movie at all.
I, for one, could not understand why everyone talked with a British accent.
The script had such potential, but it was fucked up with terrible actors and bad camera shots.

The Final Destination - 7/10 It's a fun, gory slasher film, not that great, but it isn't boring.
Up - 10/10 One of the most emotional films I've ever watched, all though that is typical of Pixar. An all around great film to watch with any one.

I use "decent" lightly. Decent is a movie thats watchable if you have nothing else to watch and you watch it only once. Its good to add to the repertoire of movies seen, thats about it

Prince of Persia
It was a good movie, pretty entertaining. The story wasn't the best but it was still good.

MacGruber
Amazing. Funniest movie I have seen in awhile. Definitely recommend seeing it.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind - 7/10 Brilliantly acted and well written, but confusing as all hell.

The Losers - 7/10 Big dumb action film, just the way I like 'em. If you wanna see stuff get blown up and people get shot and crazy stuff happening, see this.

Confusing as hell? Really? o.o

I got it right away and thought it was an awesome movie.

Just saw Kick Ass - 8/10

Not really what I expected, far more awesome.

Just saw get him to the greek

Funny as hell! Diddy mind fucked me all threw the movie.

Mystery Team, stars Donald Glover( The black guy from community and a writer for 30 rock)

Really good goofy movie about grown 17 year old boys solving a mystery like 10 years olds lol

I saw Mystery Team also since I was a fan of their webshows from derrickcomedy.com, and as expected, its stupidly funny. Also, I wouldn't recommend watching it with kids as it has far more nudity/swearing than I expected

I dident notice the swearing, aside from the very end where they said fuck to times. Fuck that felt good.

A History of Violence

Very decent thriller starring Viggo Mortensen (from The Road, LOTR). Tells the story of a decent family man who kills two robbers who try to hold up a restaurant he works in. After he's shown in the news as a local hero, Irish mobsters show up claiming Viggo has a history of violence. Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it already.

I Love You Phillip Morris

New comedy with Jim Carey. He plays a conman who falls in love with his cell mate, Ewan McGregor. Has some really great moments in it, although I hear it wasn't marketed well in the US which is a big shame. It was good to see Carey play a more diverse character too (yeah, by 'diverse' I mean gay).

Man on Wire

Amazing documentary that follows the Twin Towers illegal high-wire walk back in 1974. Before watching this I had never even heard that this happened, although I suppose that's due to my young age. Anyway, it takes you through the story of how/why Philippe Petit learned to be a tight-rope walker, and the surprisingly intense moments of preparing for the feat. Philippe and his accomplices all tell you their parts of the story, and they do it really well.

Saw History of Violence in the movie theater, really liked the slow pacing of it.

I caught Changling for the first time over the weekend and was surprised at how good it was.

Watched Edge of Darkness and the Road on the weekend.
EoD was pretty good if you like Crime movies
The Road was just ok, the one thing I have to give to the makers of the road though is the environment they created

The Hustler

Watched this last night after Abe recommended it, also went in knowing almost nothing about it. To be honest after finding out it was B&W I was really hesitant and didn't expect myself to enjoy it, but it really is an amazing film. I was also glad to see Paul Newman was the lead, after seeing this and Cool Hand Luke I have a lot of respect for him.

A Beautiful Mind.

Been aching to see this for years because I have a hard-on for mathematician based movies.

Russel Crow, Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris and a bunch of other people you would recognize. Directed by Ron Howard - CANT FAIL
