"I watched this film today and I recommend/don't recommend it."

Inception (2010)

Enjoyed the hell out of this movie, real mind fuck style of movie you will enjoy :)

See, this is possibly the best movie I've seen in the past few years, but not because it was a mindfuck. In fact, it didn't mindfuck me at all.
The beginning, which is why I love this movie, JUMPS right in. There are no main characters that talk to other main characters that explain what's going on (you know what I mean, when they give you a back story almost instantly by talking through what just happened).
Slowly, you learn what the fuck's going on, but you kind of get lost hanging there at the end, which is perfect.
This entire movie is perfect, and I wouldn't change anything about it. There's finally a great modern movie that makes you think as well as enjoy your time watching it.

Seen Inception last night as well. Really enjoyed it. Was the second time my girlfriend had seen it, she had seen it the night before, and she loved it too. It's really complex with literally loads of layers to the story. It's awesome. Really loved Cillian Murphys performance as well as a self-perceived hated son.

Just finished watching all 3 seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Totally epic story, even though the ending is predictable. The first season is long and boring and mostly filler. You can safely fast forward through anything that seems like BS. It instantly picks up from season 2 and is really interesting. Really hard to resisting watching episode after episode.

The characters grow on you and after it was all over after 2 weeks of watching I actually missed them :(

District 9: Second watch through, with my Dad because he hadn't seen it yet. Still one of the best Sci-Fi films of last year (an extremely solid year for Sci-Fi). The vharacters are great and believeable, and it manages to do both action and faux-doc very well, which is rare.

Book of Eli: another one of those post apocalyptic world movies its not bad but could have been better. 8/10

Greenzone: was expecting a bourne movie but I got more of a conspiracy/war movie.
7/10

Seen it the other day, didn't like it so much.

Finally seen Toy Story 3. Was only released today in the UK. I really enjoyed it, would definitely recommend it for anyone who hasn't seen it already. :D

Moon
Watchmen
Vanilla Sky

Really enjoyed Watchmen, also enjoyed Moon, both are well worth watching. Vanilla Sky is a mindfuck, but is completely cleared up by the end of the movie.

You watched Moon, Watchmen and Vanilla Sky, and thought that Vanilla Sky was the biggest mindfuck? I haven't seen Vanilla Sky, but the other two are ridiculously complicated, both very good, especially Moon, but complicated.

Watchmen needed some form of concentration, while Moon needed practically none at all.

Trust me, Vanilla Sky is a torment.

I saw The Recruit the other day, can't believe I've only seen this now considering I love this sort of films (Bourne trilogy, Spy Game, The Sum of All Fears). I'd recommend it to anybody looking for an action/thriller type movie.

Saw Inception last weekend and it was really great, I enjoyed it. My only complaint is that it was lacking in terms of character development.

Also, not really a film, but I started watching The Wire last week. Best thing I've ever seen on TV. I've already blown through season 1 and currently halfway through season 2 in the course of a week (each ep is one hour). The detail put into the plot is staggering. It's the first time I've watched a show/film where I actually feel attached to every single character. Each character serves an integral part to the plot - there's no fillers. Like reading a good book, it takes effort to absorb and understand the story. There's a lot of fine details you'll pick up on if you pay attention carefully. That's one of things I love about it.

The pacing is just right too. The Wire never recycles ideas from another season. Each season contains a lot of familiar faces yet feels so different. Also, the underlying messages that the show delivers are extremely powerful. I'm being careful not to spoil any story details as the plot is THAT good. I've lost count of how many times it's taken a turn I wasn't expecting.

Finally got to watching Moon. I have to say, it's one of the best films I've ever seen. The well-written plot and great acting really drew me in. I definitely recommend seeing it.

God, I want to see that movie so bad. I have no idea why it's distribution in the US was so hap hazard. I've heard nothing but amazing things about it.

I watched "Sex Pot" last week and hated it. It's a piece of bs that isn't even good for laughs, you'll just be "wtf?!" the whole movie.

The distribution in the UK was ridiculous, as I have previously mentioned. I had to either take a 3 hour train journey or wait for the DVD, and even them, the only cinema showing it only showed it for a week or so.
