Installing CFW from OFW 5.01

All right, I've got a Pandora Battery and a Fat PSP model 1001 with OFW 5.01, and I want to install Custom Firmware. I tried using Pandora Deluxe 3.1, but it wouldn't even start up on my computer. It kept saying, "The instruction could not be read blah blah blah". I really want to use Homebrew on my PSP. Can anyone help me with my situation?

Pandora Deluxe doesn't work on my computer at all.

I just uninstalled v3.1 and installed v3.0 and it said "The application failed to initialize properly".

Is there any other program?

Might be worth trying this Rains MMS Maker

Pandora deluxe usually works fine though so..........

You need to reupload the file because its 10-download limit was reached.

And besides, that MMS Maker only goes up to OFW 4.0, unless you know of a version that supports OFW 5.0...

Well, use the MMS Maker for CFW 4.01. Then if you have a Pandora Battery, and the CFW 4.01 MMS, you can install 4.01 M33-2 from there. From 4.01 M33-2, you can update to 5.00 M33-6 .

Then download the 500.PBP .

After that, follow these steps.

1.Unzip the 5.00 M33-6 file and put the EBOOT.PBP into X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE (X is the root of the MemoryStick)

2. Put the 500.PBP also into X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder.

3. And start update from XMB.

It would take you up to 4.01 M33. Guess, you worked that out now though :smile:
