Invalid 340 file

I have tryed twice to get the 340.PBP from this site and when i run updatemaker 340 it says invalid 340 file. 150.PBP file is 13.575KB and the 340.PBP is 21,533KB i tryed to download it like 3 times no luck im using a Sandisk 2GB Magicgate memory stick (purchased from circuit city retail) so i know its real plz help

Are you sure it is named 340.PBP? Windows has a hide file extension option.. make sure that is turned off. Also, try formatting your MS.

It came as EBOOT.PBP i renamed it to 340.PBP did format memory stick before i ran update maker but how do you turn off hide extension option im on windows xp :biggrin:
 
ok i got it to show extension replaced the 2 pbp files 150.PBP 340.PBP and it goes through 150 but still says 340 is invalid :confused1:

I also tryed to set them to read only that didnt work either

Good to hear :) I will update the original guide with this new link to the file, since it seems you aren't the only one having trouble with the Sony link to 3.40.
